BEHIND THE LENS
I'm a photographer who loves capturing people in their most flattering, natural element. I do not believe in the excessive use of Photoshop or other post-production tools to improve the beauty of my subjects; however, I'm not opposed to using filters, special lights, reflectors and other implements to enhance people during shoots.
I believe in the credo that less is more. A simple photograph, taken at mid-to-close range, should include natural lighting, even framing, the rule of thirds, sharp contrasts, and interesting composition. With nature, I love experimenting with different lenses and prefer to take shots in the evening, or when overcast, which either creates soft shadows or eliminates them altogether.
My wish is for people to see themselves as I see them through my lens: striking and remarkable at any age, any size and at any station in life. Though it is generally hard for people to relax around the camera, I hope that my gregarious nature and desire to please others puts them at ease.
Just when you let your shoulders down, or sigh, or laugh at a joke, I'll take your picture.
